Terms and Conditions for Oasis Beauty and Massage Centre

Effective Date: 16 Mar 2025 

1.1. Appointments and Cancellations

Booking:
Appointments can be scheduled via phone, email, or through our online booking system. Written booking format is recommended to ensure accuracy in client name spelling and treatment details.

For corporate group bookings, staff functions, or incentive bookings, a booking form with specific Ts&Cs must be completed via email.

Confirmation:
Clients will receive confirmation of their appointment via their preferred communication method. A reminder notification may be sent 24 hours prior to the appointment.

Cancellation Policy:
A minimum of 2 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less than 2 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service cost.

Failure to show up for a booked appointment without prior notice will result in a charge of 100% of the service cost.

Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances will be reviewed at the management’s discretion.

Deposit for Certain Treatments:

A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure appointments for lengthy or high-value treatments.

The deposit amount will be communicated at the time of booking and deducted from the final payment.

1.2. Late Arrivals

Grace Period:
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their appointment shortened or rescheduled to avoid disrupting other bookings. If more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may be considered a no-show, and the full service cost may be charged.

Late arrival penalties and charges will be assessed at the management’s discretion.

1.3. Health and Safety

Client Responsibility:
Clients must inform their therapist of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or skin sensitivities before treatment. Pregnancy should also be disclosed.

Patch Testing:

Patch testing is required at least 48 hours prior to any tinting, lash, or brow treatments to ensure there is no allergic reaction.

Hygiene Standards:

The salon follows strict hygiene protocols, and all tools are sterilised or disposed of after each use.

1.4. Gift Vouchers

Validity:
Vouchers are valid for three years from the date of purchase and cannot be extended.

Redemption:
Vouchers can be used for treatments but cannot be exchanged for cash or used to purchase products.

Booking with Vouchers:
Clients must mention voucher usage when booking. A no-show for a booked appointment using a gift voucher may result in the voucher being redeemed in full.

Voucher Disclaimer & Liability:
Vouchers are redeemable for a monetary value rather than a specific service. If service prices increase at the time of redemption, the voucher holder must pay the price difference.

For a fixed-price service guarantee, clients may opt for a locked-in price voucher, issued at a premium.

1.5. Pricing and Payments

Pricing Policy & Disclaimer:
At Oasis Beauty and Massage Centre, we are committed to providing high-quality services at fair prices. However, due to external factors such as supplier costs, inflation, and operational expenses, prices are subject to change without prior notice. Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and, where necessary, adjustments will be communicated before the appointment. Clients have the option to accept the updated price or reschedule.

Payments:
Payments can be made via cash, debit/credit card, EFT, valid gift vouchers, VIP accounts, or online purchases via PayFast. All payments are due immediately after services are rendered.

Refunds:
Refunds for services are not typically provided; however, if a service does not meet industry standards or agreed expectations, we will make every reasonable effort to address concerns. Where justified under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), we may offer a correction, adjustment, or alternative resolution at our discretion.

Refunds for none-on sale retail products are accepted within 7 days with proof of purchase if the product is unopened, unused. 

None-on sale retail product can be exchanged if the product is unopened, unused, and exchange within 14 days with proof of purchase.

1.6. Liability

Personal Belongings:

Clients are responsible for their belongings while at the salon.

The salon is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

Service Outcomes:

Results of beauty treatments may vary based on individual skin type, aftercare, and adherence to therapist instructions.

The salon is not responsible for undesired results due to failure to follow pre-treatment or aftercare guidelines.

1.7. Conduct

Client Conduct and Atmosphere Policy:
Oasis Beauty and Massage Centre welcomes clients from all backgrounds and cultures and strives to create a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all.

1.7.1. Respect for a Tranquil Atmosphere

Conversations should be kept at a moderate volume.

Mobile phones must be placed on silent mode.

1.7.2. Consideration for Others

We celebrate diversity but request mindfulness regarding tone and volume to maintain a relaxing spa environment.

Group visits should be aware of noise levels to respect other clients.

1.7.3. Professional and Courteous Interaction

Our team is dedicated to maintaining a welcoming space.

If a staff member reminds a client about maintaining a peaceful environment, we appreciate cooperation.

1.7.4. Creating a Relaxing Ambience

Soft background music enhances relaxation.

We provide a peaceful space for silent or meditative treatments.

Any form of harassment, verbal abuse, or inappropriate conduct toward staff or other clients will result in refusal of service and potential legal action.

1.8.Children and Pets

Well-behaved children are welcome but must be supervised at all times. The salon is not responsible for their safety, and certain treatment areas may be restricted.

No pets are allowed in the salon, except for certified service animals as companionship to the customers. 

1.9. Complaints Procedure

Feedback:
If you are dissatisfied with your service, please inform your therapist or the manager on duty before leaving so we can address concerns promptly.

Complaints must be lodged within 48 hours of the appointment for resolution.

2.0. Updates to Terms and Conditions

Oasis Beauty and Massage Centre reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any material changes where applicable.
